Jeff got me an Instapix for my birthday, and it’s the best present ever! I take polaroids everywhere, and now I actually have printed pictures for my desk! From San Francisco to Nepal, I’ve brought it everywhere and it’s a great little thing to carry in your bag to make even more memories.
Did you know, we use our smartphones to film all our videos? That, and a Go-Pro, but no heavy camera or other equipment. When you think about it, everyone watches videos on their smartphone anyways right? We recommend either the iPhone 7 or the Samsung S7 edge, both equipped with great cameras and easy to use!
As said previously, we tend to film a lot with our Go Pro Hero 4, and we take loads of photos with it too! The wide angle is very flattering and captures way more than a normal lens, so our photos look always great!
It would be a shame to have a GoPro without accessories! We own head straps, chest straps, tripods, holder and waterproof covers for ours, but you can even extend it to floaties and all sorts of mounts with this great 8 in 1 accessory pack!
Particularly in long flights, we need music or podcasts to make time goes faster, or simply to watch the airplace screen when screen there is (thanks Emirates!). These noise cancelling headphones are the best we’ve tried, as they cut every sound from the outside and lets you enter your own world even at 33,000 feet!
If you like to read but not to carry heavy weight in your bags, the Kindle is your best bet! Light and adapted to all kinds of settings, this Kindle is adapted to night flights as well as day bus rides! Carry your library with you and keep it light with your Kindle.
Because you will probably be out the whole day and night, and will only come back to the hotel to sleep and forget to charge your phone, a battery pack is what you need! It literally saved our lives multiple times during our travels, and doesn’t take much space in your bag. This pack is particularly handy as it can charge your phone up to 6 times!
If you decide to film your adventures, or just to take a sick timelapse, a mini tripod is what you need! This one is ideal as you can adapt it depending to wherever you want to put it and it will stay. This one is super cheap and does the job!
When you film and take pictures all day, the only thing you fear is the “no memory left” notification on your phone! To avoid this, bring your external hard drive along with you and make sure to empty your phone once in a while to avoid any disappointments.
We hope this list gave you some inspiration for your next gift to your favourite colleague, friend, brother, sister, parent or yourself! Let us know if you recommend any gadget in particular to take on our next adventure!
