The French language is an absolute nightmare to learn, as anyone who has ever tried can attest to. Unfortunately, my simple American brain struggles to even grasp the basic concepts.

So it will come to no surprise that when it comes to French expressions I am totally lost.

Anne hasn't gone a day since I've known her without interrupting a story I'm telling with "We have this saying in French..."
